Company structure includes the department of marketing and strategic development, production and technical department, accountant's office, chief mechanic department, materials department, sales department, foreign economic relations department, department of organization and remuneration of labor, economics department, department of construction and design, personnel department, production control department, and a number of supporting services. Manufacturing unit of the factory is represented by three major shop floors: cutting department, sewing department and footwear assembly department.
At present two basic methods of sports footwear production are used in the world. The method of preparing the inner mould and directly attaching the sole afterwards is the most productive one. Maximum degree of process automation is achieved under such circumstances. The method is mainly used for making cheap footwear (up to the lower limit of the average price range), only synthetic materials are used in production.

In the second case a rough piece is made on the shoetree with the use of a pulling over and lasting method. The sole is glued to it afterwards with special glues. This technology is more traditional, but it allows achieving fundamentally different parameters of product quality. All footwear for professionals in sports and best samples of footwear for outdoor activities are made with the use of this technology.
Pulling over and lasting method is used at the Belkelme factory. All processes starting from the stage of design and up to cutting critical raw material (leather) are fully automated. Footwear is stitched manually with the use of modern imported equipment. High qualification of employees allows realizing almost any design. The processes of assembling finished shoes are to be automated in the long view. As it was already noted, an important competitive advantage of the company consists in relying on its own design developments.
Designers and design specialists use special software (Russian and Italian) enabling them to accelerate creative processes tenfold. Computerization has also allowed to drastically change the performance of departments related to preproduction. And using rough pieces of the ultramodern Elitron cutting complex for cutting allows to minimize the losses of valuable raw material.
Accuracy is the main quality for fabric cutters
Genuine leather is used as raw material for most designs of training shoes and boots. To be more exact, it is cattle skin (ox hide) 1.2-1.8 mm thick. This domestic raw material is supplied by the Bobruisk leather plant. Moreover, high quality rawhide arrives to Belkelme from JV Gatovo-Teneri. Another Belarusian supplier is Luch, JSC, producing high quality industrial glues. Other contractors, who support the production, work in Russia, Ukraine, and Poland. Among them are Furnitol, LLC, Private unitary enterprise Lviv-Plast, and Moscow company. If we analyze the supply in terms of types of materials, leather and cardboard are entirely home-produced. Toe boxes, back-cloth, innersole materials, polyurethane foam are Italian, Polish, Chinese, and Spanish. Soles arte generally of Ukrainian production, and accessories and sewing thread are supplied by companies from Belarus and, partially, the Russian Federation.
An effective system of training and personnel development is used within the company. Young worker spass through the system of mentorship. Engineers, technologists, marketing specialists are constantly directed to various qualification upgrading courses, participate in training seminars, attend exhibitions, etc.
All of this allows the Belkelme company to maintain good tonus and, despite the sophistication of designs and diversification of issued products, steadily sustain competition on the domestic and foreign markets.
